I've been going there since I got my first car over 40 years ago. They are excellent and very reasonably priced. I've sent many people to Smokeys over the years and they still go there.

Update: Smokey & Jr. are the BEST in Providence. Squeezed me in on Shortnotice Replaced My Starter and changed a blown tire, All in 5hrs & at a VERY REASONABLE PRICE. Don’t waste Time Beg to Bring your Car to SMOKEYS 2/5/2024 Good work very reasonable prices... Thank you for All your Help 7/14/2021

Gabe is the best, he's saved my wallet a hundred times over when it came to repairs to my cars- even when things looked dire he was able to fix them at a reasonable price- we're moving to warwick and I'll still have my car towed here if there's an issue. I can't recommend this place enough!

Gabe has been our mechanic for over 30yrs. He's very honest and reliable. Always let's you know what needs fixed before he does anything to your car. And in a timely fashion. Thank you for everything you've done for us.

Smokey and lil smokey always do a great job, very reliable great mechanics, reliable service very affordable. Have brought my past 2 cars there as I recommend friends and family to go here. They don't do transmissions but very knowledgeable with many other issues. If you read this feedback and decide to go visit Smokeys auto repair mention Spaz referred you as well feel free to show this review. 😀 I'll always bring my Cars here to be serviced.

Call today for an issue with my car I went in and he inspected my car and knew the issue right away. His prices are fair and service was fast for me. Thanks so much saved me so much $$$ and great honest service. Will definitely keep coming here for my oil changes. Thanks Gabe you rock!!!!

Smokey's just repaired our 2014 Ford Edge SEL and did an excellent job! Gabe and his son treated us very well throughout the process working with CarShield. They replaced our engine along with many different other parts associated with it. We would definitely use them again, as they had fixed all of the major problems it had. He has continued to ensure that our concerns have been addressed.

Silver Lake is very lucky to have Smokey, Gabe and their crew. If you're like me and you prefer only the most necessary, precisely targeted preventive maintenance to get an old car running deep into 6-figure mileage, even if you don't have a repair insurer, Smokey charges very reasonably every time and doesn't sell you BS. I have had goals to take my 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage I bought at 78k miles and currently have at 136k, up to around 250-300k or more, and as some stock parts have faded at times they have provided solid installation every time, whether I've brought them parts I selected or I had them order them for me. New-school and would-be mechanics should take note of the ethical standards a proudly old-school shop like Smokey's provides.

My car died at a stop light right in front of Smokey’s Auto Repair. My bf ran inside to ask for help and Gabe immediately ran outside and jumped the car to get off of the street - we pulled the car in and they tested the battery and double checked a few things and helped get us on our way! Saved us in a pinch - thank you!!
